States with the highest rate of cancer-related death
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, cancer will be the second leading cause of death in the United States in 2020
In 2020, there will be 602,350 cancer deaths in the United States.
There were 23% of fatalities due to all types of cancer due to lung cancer.
This was followed by colon and rectum (9%) and liver and intrahepatic bile duct (5%) cancers.
As well as 8 percent of deaths due to pancreas (8%) and 7 percent of deaths due to female breast cancer.
Compared to women, men died more frequently from lung, colorectal, and pancreatic cancer.
