Since 2014, my weight has slowly risen from 82 kilogrammes (180 pounds) to as much as 95 kg (209 pounds).

As my health, motivation, and physical fitness deteriorated, so did my self-confidence.

Doing something and finding a trainer were the only ways I could get back into shape.

After much deliberation, I decided to commit to a 12-week transformation programme at Manchester's Ultimate Performance gym.

One of the reasons I decided to join U.P. was because I had never received any training or knowledge of how to properly exercise. 

As a result, I had a steep learning curve when it came to learning how to weight train.
